Six owner-managed properties in the Berguedà
Pirineu Turístic rents apartments and rural holiday houses in the Catalan Pyrenees, specifically in the Berguedà county, in the north of the province of Barcelona. Every property is ours and we manage it directly: we are not an agency or a booking portal.
The six are spread across two villages of the upper Berguedà, Borredà and La Pobla de Lillet, twenty minutes apart by car and surrounded by the Catllaràs and Picancel ranges and the Riera de Merlès. Barcelona is a little over an hour and a half away.
What sets these apartments apart is the furniture: most of it is handmade by the owner using timber from the forests of Borredà, under the FORTA GALO brand. Each property is decorated differently and no two are alike.
El Pati Farmhouse
Borredà
A Catalan farmhouse dating from 1600, restored and set deep in the woods between Vilada and Borredà, reached by a mountain track. It offers 250 m² indoors across two floors, plus 1000 m² of garden with a swimming pool, a stone barbecue on a paved area and a chill-out zone with a pergola, sofas and a table football.
There are 6 bedrooms and 20 beds: one on the ground floor with a double bed designed for guests with reduced mobility, three double rooms upstairs and two with bunk beds. Both bathrooms are fully equipped and one is accessible, reachable directly from the pool. The whole house is heated by two pellet stoves and a large wood-burning fireplace.
The furniture is handmade from natural timber, each room is named after a mushroom and has its own television. The garden has swings and a trampoline for younger guests. Enclosed parking within the property and pets welcome at no extra cost.

Cadí Triplex
La Pobla de Lillet
The Cadí spans over 150 m² across three floors, with a balcony and a terrace opening outdoors and views of the upper Berguedà mountains. After the farmhouse it is our largest property, designed for big families and groups who want to stay together without feeling cramped.
It has 5 bedrooms: two with double beds, two with bunk beds and an attic room with tatami mats that tends to be the children's favourite. Two full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a gas hob and a fully working cast-iron wood cookstove, and a wood-burning fireplace in the living room.
Gas heating throughout, washer-dryer, seven televisions and chests with blankets in every room. Free street parking and pets welcome at no extra cost.

Catllaràs Apartment
La Pobla de Lillet
The Catllaràs is rustic and welcoming, with wood and stone taking centre stage. On entering, its glass table stands out, leading through to an open-plan kitchen and living room that gathers everyone around the ornamental fireplace, which recreates flames with water vapour and light surprisingly convincingly.
It is a whole property for 4 guests, with two bedrooms with double beds, each with its own television, and a double sofa bed in the living room available for children. The bathroom features an elegant natural stone washbasin, and natural leaves are preserved under resin in the flooring.
Fully equipped wooden kitchen with oven, gas hob and cast-iron wood cookstove. Gas heating, washer-dryer, three televisions and board games on the shelves. Two direct exits to the street and pets welcome.

Accessible apartment
La Pobla de Lillet
The Picancel is our accessible property, designed so that a wheelchair user can move around independently. The main entrance has a ramp and there are two direct exits to the street, with no steps to negotiate inside the home.
The bathroom is adapted: toilet with grab rails, a level-access shower and a wall-mounted stool. It has one bedroom with a double bed and a double sofa bed in the living-dining room, so four guests can stay if needed.
Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven and hob, gas heating, wood-burning fireplace, washer-dryer and two televisions. The outdoor terrace has a folding table, parasol and chairs. Pets welcome at no extra cost.

Apartment for couples
Borredà
From the street, a landing leads to a small door tucked away at the back. Nothing hints at what lies behind it: opening it reveals a bright, open-plan space, with a huge window lighting the living-dining room and kitchen, and a fireplace at the centre of the focal wall.
The fireplace runs on gas and is decorative, but produces beautiful soft flames, and above it a large backlit television completes the mood. A round glass table separates the living room from the bedroom, entered through a large sliding wooden door. The double bed is handcrafted from tree trunks.
The sofa converts into a double bed, so the property sleeps 2 to 4 guests. The bathroom has a washbasin made of wood and natural stone. Fully equipped kitchen with a barbecue grill, heating with electric radiators, washer-dryer, two televisions and free street parking. Pets welcome.

Charming rural apartment
Borredà
Cal Barraqué is the newest and best equipped of the Borredà apartments. It sits on the ground floor, with five steps in the entrance hall and the rest of the home on a single level. The living-dining room and kitchen form an open space presided over by a decorative fireplace and a television.
It has one bedroom with a double bed, a double sofa bed in the living room and a raised chill-out platform with a mattress, ideal for reading or as a corner of their own for children. The bathroom is a full one, with a shower.
It is the only property with air conditioning and a heat pump in both the living room and the bedroom, plus an automatic dehumidifier. The kitchen has a large fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, a classic Italian coffee maker, blender and juicer. There is also a washer-dryer, iron, free Wi-Fi, board games and books. Free street parking around 30 metres away and pets welcome.

Prices and booking
Prices range from around €60 per night in the two-person apartments to around €300 per night in the farmhouse, depending on season and occupancy. A single cleaning fee of €70 is added per booking, regardless of the length of stay.

Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome at no extra cost in all six Pyrenees properties. The El Pati farmhouse also has 1000 m² of enclosed garden.
Is there an accessible property for guests with reduced mobility?
Yes. The accessible apartment in La Pobla de Lillet has an access ramp and a bathroom with a level-access shower and a wall-mounted grab rail. The El Pati farmhouse has an accessible bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, reachable directly from the pool.
How much does it cost to rent an apartment?
Prices range from around €60 per night in the smaller apartments to around €300 per night in the farmhouse, depending on season and occupancy. A €70 cleaning fee is added to the booking and charged only once, whatever the length of stay.

What is there to do in the area?
Walking, horse riding and mountain biking, climbing, caving, water sports at the Baells reservoir and mushroom picking in season. Nearby are the Cement Train, Gaudí's Artigas Gardens, the sources of the Llobregat and the La Molina ski slopes.
