The Catalan Pyrenees, especially the Berguedà, preserve a way of life, landscapes and villages that are part of their charm. At PirineuTuristic.com, a family-run project focused on rural and tourist accommodation, we believe tourism can help sustain this vitality when developed with respect for the land and its people.
Our accommodations in Borredà and La Pobla de Lillet serve as a starting point to explore the surroundings, but our work goes beyond just offering a place to sleep. We want visitors to get to know the villages, their shops and restaurants, the heritage, the landscapes and the activities this part of Berguedà offers.
Every visitor who shops locally, sits down at a restaurant, visits a cultural site or takes part in an activity contributes, in their own way, to the local economy.
Reviving spaces and giving them new life
An important part of the Pirineu Turístic project has been to restore, refurbish and adapt existing spaces into accommodations.
This gives new purpose to buildings and homes that are part of our villages, while offering visitors a much deeper connection to the place where they choose to spend their days.
One example is the Masia El Pati in Borredà, a space set in a privileged natural environment that now welcomes families and groups wanting to enjoy Berguedà, meet up and explore the area.
And we keep working in this direction.
We are currently finishing the restoration of a new accommodation in La Pobla de Lillet. After months of work, we’re in the final stretch: restoration, fitting out and those last details that seem small... until you have to do them all! 😉

When visitors arrive, the village benefits too
Rural tourism generates activity that goes far beyond accommodation.
Our guests need to shop, eat, have a drink, visit places, do activities or simply discover what’s around them. This means restaurants, bars, bakeries, shops, producers, markets and other small local businesses.
That’s why we encourage our guests not to stay only within the accommodation.
Getting to know a village restaurant, buying local products or visiting a small shop is part of the journey. And it’s precisely this connection between visitor and territory that gives meaning to the tourism model we support.
Showcasing everything we have around us
Another part of our work is to give visibility to the territory.
Through PirineuTuristic.com, our blog, social media and direct communication with guests, we try to show that Berguedà offers much more than peace and mountains.
In La Pobla de Lillet, for example, we have the Jardins Artigas and the Catllaràs Chalet, two works linked to Antoni Gaudí that this Gaudí Year 2026 will gain even more prominence.
But there’s also the Catllaràs mountain range, hiking and mountain biking trails, industrial heritage, gastronomy, festivals and traditions, villages to discover and activities that change throughout the year.
In Borredà, you find a different kind of experience: nature, tranquility, paths, landscape and that feeling, increasingly rare, of being able to slow down.
We also like to highlight initiatives born in the territory or nearby. A good example is the Field Lab regenerative gastronomy days by Radicea in Gombrèn, which this September will bring together gastronomy, producers, nature and reflection on the future of mountain regions.
Collaboration is also building community
We don’t see rural tourism as an isolated activity.
When we recommend a restaurant, explain a route, promote an activity or collaborate with a local initiative, we try to create connections between visitors and everything that already exists in the territory.
We don’t claim that tourism alone can solve the challenges of small villages. But it can be part of their economy and help generate activity all year round, especially when visitors, accommodations, restaurants, shops and local activities are connected.
A project that keeps growing
Pirineu Turístic grows accommodation by accommodation, but we try to keep the same philosophy: revive spaces, bring them to life and invite our guests to discover what lies beyond the accommodation door.
Borredà and La Pobla de Lillet are not just where our accommodations are. They are an essential part of the experience we want to offer.
Because coming to Berguedà shouldn’t be just about sleeping there.
It’s about walking it, tasting it, knowing it and, for a few days, becoming a part of it.
